- Since 2004, Saku Metall AS has implemented a quality management system that meets the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.
- Since 2010, the quality management system of Saku Metall AS has been integrated with an environmental management system that meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
- Since 2021, the quality management system of Saku Metall AS has been integrated with an environmental management system and an occupational health and safety management system, which meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
- The welding quality at Saku Metall Subcontracting Factory complies with EN ISO 3834-2:2005 and EN 15085-2 level CL1 requirements.
For all our raw materials, we are ready to provide the manufacturer’s certificate in accordance with EN ISO 10204 level 3.1. - In 2022, Saku Metall Subcontracting Factory signed a declaration on the principles of sustainable forest management, under which the company commits to:
- Complying with the procedures described in standard FSC-STD-40-004 v3-1, which are integrated into the company’s management system;
- Adhering to sustainable forest management labor principles in accordance with the basic employee rights set out in the Saku Metall AS Code of Ethics and the laws of the Republic of Estonia;
- Requiring its business partners to provide proof of compliance with FSC-STD-40-004 v3-1.
- Saku Metall Subcontracting Factory has achieved a significant certification in the field of powder coating quality, becoming the first company in the Baltic States to be awarded the prestigious QIB (Qualitätsgemeinschaft Industriebeschichtung e.V.) certificate. This recognition confirms the company’s commitment to high-level powder coating and continuous quality control.
- In addition, Saku Metall holds the Deutsche Bahn (DB) certificate DBS 918 340 for powder coating of both steel and aluminum surfaces. This is an important certification in the railway industry, confirming compliance with strict quality requirements and enabling the implementation of new projects in this field.
- To ensure quality, regular mechanical tests are carried out, including bending, impact, scratch, boiling, and Machu tests – the latter being an accelerated corrosion resistance test. In addition, salt spray tests of up to 1,500 hours are performed on test panels to demonstrate the level of corrosion protection and ensure the durability of the products.
