Committed To a
Greener Tomorrow

Saku Metall’s main raw material is steel, which is a fully recyclable material. Steel production still has a relatively high environmental impact, and it will take a few more years for “green” steel to enter the market.

The life cycle assessment of the metal doors produced by Saku Metall Uksetehas revealed that the CO2 emissions from steel production can account for over 50% of the carbon footprint generated throughout the product’s lifecycle. Therefore, Saku Metall is committed to extending the life cycle of its products, reducing the need for new product production.

Governance

Saku Metall places great importance on honest, transparent, and responsible leadership and accurate financial reporting, both in daily operational management and at the board level.

Saku Metall has developed a code of conduct based on four core values: honesty, professionalism, openness, and innovation. The code of conduct establishes a framework for Saku Metall’s operations and expectations for employee conduct. Leaders’ actions are often perceived as reflecting the company’s activities, so much emphasis is placed on leadership development and ethical and responsible decision-making. However, creating a culture of organization is important for all employees, not just leaders. Therefore, all employees are regularly trained according to the established training plan, including training in the code of conduct.

Saku Metall understands that setting a good example is an important aspect of leadership. Therefore, all leaders and employees are encouraged to be a constant example to their colleagues. This helps maintain a positive company culture.

Saku Metall has developed a risk management process that maps and evaluates risks at least once a year. Quarterly updates are provided on the most significant risks. Quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems have also been implemented, namely ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
